The president of the Generalitat, Quim Torra, has affirmed this weekend up to twice that the "people of Catalonia" (for the independentists) should "self-determine" following the Slovenian way. It is worth remembering that a referendum was held in Slovenia that had 95% of votes in favor of independence, (in Catalonia it has never reached 50%) and independence was declared unilaterally, which initially was not recognized by anyone and that led to an armed conflict with hundreds of deaths and injuries.
